The SMDC Simulation Center provides scientific and engineering supercomputer support for the SMDC mission of research and development of future space and missile defense applications and related technologies. The SimCtr is located in the SMDC building . The SimCtr is operated by the Simulations Directorate, of the Space and Missile Defense Future Warfare Center as a SMDC command asset in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs with U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and the Army .
The U. S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) Simulation Center (SimCtr) was chosen in conjunction with the Advanced Research Center to jointly operate as a High Performance Computing Modernization Program Office Distributed Center.
